Deluxe Villa
Villa Suite
Chevin Khaoyai is a small villa resort in Wang Sai, north of the busier Mu Si strip near Pak Chong. Its two categories are unusually spacious for the area - the Deluxe Villa measures 70 square metres and the Villa Suite 100, both with a king bed. Trees and open garden surround the low-rise villas, so it feels more like a countryside stay than an overnight stop on the way to the park.
On-site facilities go beyond the basics: a restaurant, bar, family rooms, free parking, luggage storage, a garden and complimentary bicycles. Private entrances, balconies or terraces, seating areas and fridges are standard across the villa inventory, which makes a slow morning at the property an easy option rather than a drive back into town for breakfast.
Location is the trade-off to understand before booking. The resort sits outside central Pak Chong, and Heo Suwat Waterfall is roughly 27 kilometres away as the crow flies - further by road. Chevin is part of the wider Khao Yai region but nowhere near a park entrance, so a car does most of the work here: for the park itself, for restaurants, and for anything else spread along this stretch of Nakhon Ratchasima.
Insider Tip: Reception closes at 19:00, so build in margin if you’re arriving after a long drive or a delayed train - Wang Sai isn’t the kind of place you can talk your way into after hours.
- Villas measure 70 or 100 square metres - genuinely spacious for the price bracket
- Restaurant, bar, garden and free parking on site
- Family rooms and free bicycles available
- Not within walking distance of a Khao Yai National Park entrance
- A car is close to essential for getting around
- Reception closes at 19:00
Couples and families who want space and quiet will do well here; anyone hoping to walk to Pak Chong nightlife or make repeat trips to the park gate without a car should look closer to Mu Si instead.
