Idyllic Concept Resort sits right on Sunrise Beach, the quieter eastern shore of Koh Lipe inside Tarutao National Marine Park. You wake to the sun rising over the Andaman, with calm, clear water off the sand and the island’s Walking Street a 10–15 minute stroll along the shore. The 8.7/10 from nearly 4,000 Agoda reviews (Staff 9.3, and a standout Free WiFi 9.7 — rare for a remote island) marks it as one of Sunrise Beach’s most reliable addresses.
The Rooms and the Beach
It’s a 4-star with 82 contemporary rooms, many with sea views, and the better categories have private balconies and both indoor and outdoor rain showers. The Sunrise Beach setting is the real product: the water here is calmer than the west side in high season, the off-beach snorkelling is good, and longtail boats for island-hopping around the marine park leave from nearby. There’s a pool, a small spa and a fitness room on site.
Who It’s For
Best for couples and families who want a calm, snorkel-friendly beach and a sunrise outlook, and don’t need nightlife on the doorstep. Less good for anyone wanting a lively scene or extensive resort facilities — Koh Lipe is small and remote, with dining and entertainment limited to the village. The island is also seasonal: ferries run most reliably from around October/November to May, and many businesses wind down through the southwest monsoon.
Insider Tip: Sunrise Beach faces east, so mornings are bright and the afternoon falls into shade earlier than on the sunset-facing beaches — ideal if you’d rather take your beach time before the midday heat.
- Direct beachfront on calmer, snorkel-friendly Sunrise Beach
- Excellent connectivity (Free WiFi 9.7/10) and strong service across ~4,000 reviews
- Contemporary sea-view rooms inside Tarutao National Marine Park
- Remote, small-island setting — limited dining and nightlife
- Seasonal access, and pricier than Koh Lipe’s budget options
Getting There
Koh Lipe is reached by ferry or speedboat from Pak Bara pier (about 1.5 hours), with seasonal connections from Langkawi and other piers. From the island pontoon it’s a short walk or taxi-boat to Sunrise Beach, and Walking Street and Pattaya Beach (Koh Lipe’s own, not the mainland city) are a 10–15 minute walk along the sand.
