Facilities
Kamalar Palace is a set of multi-bedroom villa units by Hualaem Market on U-Tong Road in Tha Wasukri (booking sites vary the spelling slightly — both links below reach the same villa).
These are long-stay villa rooms rather than a full hotel, which suits families or small groups after more space than one hotel bedroom gives you — a lounge area, more than one bedroom, room to spread out. The three-star rating holds across both providers.
Wat Lokayasutharam and the wider Ayutthaya Historical Park sit close by on the island’s western side, but the park itself is large and hot underfoot. A bicycle, tuk-tuk or hired driver covers the ruins faster than walking between them. Ayutthaya train station is across the river, so budget for a short taxi or tuk-tuk with luggage rather than assuming a walk.
Check-in runs from 14:00 to 21:00, checkout by noon — flag a late train arrival with whichever provider you book through.
Insider Tip: Save the address and villa-unit description from your booking confirmation before you arrive; drivers respond better to “Hualaem Market, U-Tong Road” than to either brand name alone.
Match the provider name to the exact villa unit and dates you want. Agoda and Hotels.com occasionally package the same inventory differently, so check occupancy and cancellation terms rather than assuming the two listings are identical.
