Koh Tao Cabana sits at the quiet northern end of Sairee Beach on Koh Tao — Agoda still lists it under the old name, Koh Tao Cabana Hotel, but Booking.com and the resort itself use Koh Tao Cabana. The property spans the beachfront and a vegetated hillside, so villa position and access vary a lot from one category to the next.

Seventeen villa categories cover a wide range. On the beach level, the two-bedroom Makam Suite runs 180 square metres, the Koi Pool and Beach Suite 230 square metres, and the two-bedroom Chompoo Suite 185 square metres. Higher up or further back, White Sand villas, cottages, a Treehouse and patio villas trade space for a steeper walk. A few of the larger categories add a pantry, but that’s not a kitchen you’ll find resort-wide.

Sairee gives direct beach access from the lower villas, while treetop and hillside rooms may involve steps and sit well back from the sand. The view labels matter here — ocean view, treetop and beach access each describe a genuinely different stay within the same grounds.

Insider Tip: Check the villa name against the resort’s own site map before booking. A beachfront address doesn’t guarantee a beach-level room, and the hillside path matters if stairs are a problem for anyone in your group.

Facilities include an outdoor beachfront pool, Kajavari Spa, Rim Lae restaurant and bar, room service, Wi-Fi, canoeing, snorkelling and other water activities. Sairee sits near Koh Tao’s main diving area, but offshore sites like Chumphon Pinnacle still need a boat — check pickup times with your dive operator rather than assuming a walk-in shop nearby.

Mae Haad Pier is roughly a 15-minute drive away, and the resort runs scheduled pickups for direct bookings — guests on other rates should confirm their own transfer. Check-in windows differ between the resort and Booking.com too, so sort out a late arrival directly rather than assuming one universal cutoff.
