Mövenpick Resort Khao Yai sits in Wang Sai, a rural pocket of Pak Chong district about three hours’ drive from Bangkok — a countryside retreat you drive to and settle into, not a base for walking to the national park gate. Treat the Khao Yai name as regional rather than a claim about proximity to the park entrance.

Rooms scale from generous to enormous. A Deluxe Room is 47 sqm and the Executive Deluxe 55 sqm — already spacious by Thai resort standards. Beyond that sit genuinely huge layouts: the two-bedroom Ozone Suite at 170 sqm, a three-bedroom Penthouse at 350 sqm, two- and three-bedroom villas at 180 and 220 sqm, and a five-bedroom Pool Villa at 250 sqm.

Insider Tip: Check whether a villa is listed as Garden or Pool before booking — both exist, and “villa” alone doesn’t guarantee your own pool.

On site: indoor and outdoor pools, a spa and wellness centre, a fitness centre, a golf course, several restaurants and a bar. ZOONIVERSE, the resort’s farm-style animal area, lets kids feed capybaras, goats, sheep and rabbits — a genuine draw for families rather than a token petting corner. Selected villas take pets up to 10 kg for THB 1,500 per pet per night; pets are kept out of restaurants and shared lounges unless carried.

Check-in starts at 15:00 and checkout is by noon.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Mövenpick Resort Khao Yai from Bangkok?
About a three-hour drive, in Pak Chong district of Nakhon Ratchasima province.
Are the multi-bedroom villas actually private pools?
Only some. The Pool Villa and standard Villa categories are separate lines — a "villa" name alone doesn't guarantee a private pool, so check the specific listing before booking.
Is the resort suitable for families with children?
Yes — multi-bedroom villas, family-sized suites and the ZOONIVERSE animal farm make this one of the more family-friendly upscale resorts in the Khao Yai area.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes, in selected villas only. Expect a fee of about THB 1,500 per pet per night for animals up to 10 kg, and pets are kept out of restaurants and shared lounges unless carried.
