What to Expect

Baan Kru Eua is the preserved shophouse home of Eua Sunthornsanan, the composer and bandleader who founded the legendary Suntaraporn orchestra and helped shape modern Thai song. Set in the Amphawa weekend market, the wooden Rama V-era building keeps old photographs, instruments and memorabilia that trace his life and music. It is a small, atmospheric stop, best paired with a wander through the surrounding floating market.
