Bangkok Golf Club

Bangkok Golf Club is the MBK Golf 18-hole club at 99 Moo 2, Tiwanon Road, Bang Kadi, Pathum Thani, a greater-Bangkok Pathum Thani address, not a course inside the old-city core. Official MBK copy says it opened in December 1993, plays about 6,549 yards (par 72), and is known for fast TifEagle greens with water in play on most holes.

The differentiator for Bangkok-based players is night golf. MBK’s About Us page states all holes are LED floodlit, with tee times as late as 7:30pm, and on-course kiosks staying open late. That is the practical answer when daytime heat or weekday traffic kills a morning window.

Course character and night play

Five tee sets give length options. Forward tees keep the yardage manageable; the back set still asks for accuracy because water frames so many approaches. Two of the four par 3s play to island greens, the kind of hole that feels sharper under lights when the fairway is lit and everything else drops away.

Directories commonly credit designer Chird Boonyarattanevet; MBK’s own About Us page focuses on layout, lighting, and event history rather than naming the architect. Treat designer credit as directory consensus unless you need a press-ready citation from the club.

Insider Tip: Night golf is the reason to choose Bang Kadi over a pure daytime Pathum Thani round. Ask for the latest lit tee and whether your group wants a full 18 under lights rather than a dusk finish.

Watch out: Name collision is real: RBSC, Thai Country Club, and Siam Country Club Bangkok all get mislabelled “Bangkok golf.” Match Bang Kadi / Tiwanon / MBK Golf before you transfer money.

Getting there and nearby

MBK frames the club as roughly 30 minutes from central Bangkok in calm traffic. Don Mueang is the closer airport corridor than Suvarnabhumi. Weekday Chaeng Watthana / expressway traffic can double that window. Leave early or book the evening lights instead.
