Palm Hills Golf Club and Residence is a full 18-hole championship course in Cha-am, on the Phetchaburi side of the Cha-am/Hua Hin coastal strip — and playing it costs a green fee, not the free entry some old listings claim. Budget roughly 1,800-2,500 THB depending on the day and season, with caddy and cart hire on top of that.

Built in 1992, the course plays to a par 72 over about 6,887 yards, winding through rolling terrain planted with mature palm trees. Water hazards guard several approach shots, bunkers pinch the fairways at the usual landing zones, and elevated tees give brief views over the surrounding Cha-am countryside. The clubhouse runs a pro shop and a restaurant serving Thai and international dishes, with cart rental and caddie service included in how the club operates day to day — a caddy walks (or drives) every group, Thailand-style.

Part of what search engines surface under “Palm Hills” is the residential side of the project, not the golf course — condos and villas for sale that share the site and, in places, share fairways. The club itself still operates as a normal bookable course; you don’t need to own property here to play a round.

Insider Tip: A caddy fee of around 350 THB is standard, and a similar amount as a tip afterwards is the local norm — factor that into your budget alongside the green fee and cart hire.

Book tee times through the club or a Hua Hin-area golf agent, particularly for cooler-season mornings when demand from resort golfers picks up. Cart hire runs around 650 THB per player. Bring sun protection and plenty of water; afternoon rounds in the hot season (March-May) get uncomfortable fast. The course is a short drive from Cha-am town centre, making it a workable stop if you’re staying along this stretch of coast rather than in Hua Hin proper.
