Police Boat 813

Police Boat 813 (เรือตำรวจ 813 / ต.813) is the 60-tonne Thai Marine Police patrol vessel the 26 December 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami carried roughly 1–2 km inland and left in Ban Bang Niang. It remains the centrepiece of 813 Tsunami Memorial Park on Phet Kasem Road in Bang Niang, a short hop from the Khao Lak resort strip in Phang Nga.

Visitors typically walk from the entrance past information boards to the beached hull, then continue to the Tsunami Memorial Sculpture at the quieter end of the path. The setting is exposed and lightly shaded — bring sun cover. Allow roughly 45–60 minutes if you read the boards and visit both boat and sculpture; a quicker photo stop can be 20–30 minutes.
