Veneto Suan Phueng

Veneto Suan Phueng sets an Italian-village backdrop — pastel-coloured buildings styled after a European lakeside town — against what’s now mainly an animal-feeding and photo-zone attraction in the hills of Ratchaburi province. Older write-ups describe gondola rides through canals; recent visitor reports don’t mention any, and the activities on offer today point to a different kind of day out than the Venice theme implies.

The current draw is hands-on animal encounters: capybaras and wallabies now headline the operator’s own marketing, alongside a Holland Lop rabbit farm, miniature Shetland horses, Sulcata tortoises, Angora goats, and swans, spread across themed zones. A 20-rai pond stocked with carp is the other centrepiece — visitors pedal across it on “water bikes” rather than gondolas. Photography is a big part of the appeal too, with a BlackLight 3D gallery (marketed as Thailand’s first) alongside the usual run of ornate bridges and flower-filled balconies for photos. Game zones with prizes, a café, and an ice-cream shop round out a visit.

Watch out: Admission isn’t free — budget around 200 THB per adult, more for photo-zone and feeding packages (roughly 280-580 THB) — and the operator runs frequent promotions, so check the venue’s Facebook page for current rates before you set out.

Insider Tip: Weekday mornings are noticeably quieter than weekends, when local families turn out in numbers for the animal zones and photo spots.
