Day Trip to Bangkok Floating Market & Maeklong Railway

If you want to see both the Damnoen Saduak floating market and the Maeklong railway market in a single day and not spend that day wrestling with minivans, this is the budget-friendly long-format version. An air-conditioned vehicle runs you out to Damnoen Saduak first, where you board a longtail for a 30 to 40-minute cruise through the canal lanes. Vendor boats laden with fruit, noodles and handicrafts row past, and you can climb off and explore on foot or rent a rowboat for a self-paced loop. A stop at the Buffalo Cafe gives you a sit-down break (drinks at your own cost). You then transfer to the Maeklong railway market for the main event: the train easing through the narrow market aisles while vendors whisk their awnings back on cue. The day wraps up with a return to CentralWorld by early evening.
