Flying Hanuman Zipline Experience Family Friendly Adventure
Activity provider: Flying Hanuman
Highlights
- Departure Point: Flying Hanuman activity site, located in Kathu Waterfall. Address: 89/16 Moo 6, Soi Namtok Kathu, Wichitsongkram Rd., Kathu, Phuk...
Flying Hanuman runs a forested zipline course at Kathu Waterfall in the hills above Patong, and the headline number is the 400-metre zipline, the longest in Phuket. Around it sits a network of 7 to 14 ziplines (depending on the package you pick), sky bridges, spiral staircases and abseil points, all threaded through actual rainforest rather than the manufactured adventure-park setup you sometimes get at this kind of attraction. Three hours from start to finish.
Pickup is included from designated Phuket zones, or you can make your own way to the Flying Hanuman site on Soi Namtok Kathu. The course builds up: shorter ziplines first while the staff settle your harness and you get used to the launch, sky bridges that sway gently to cross canopy gaps, spiral staircases wrapped around tree trunks to get between levels, and the longer ziplines including the 400-metre one as the payoff. The dual zipline lets two of you race side by side. Meals, the ziplines and bridges, a Flying Hanuman t-shirt on the FH1 and FH2 packages, first aid, insurance and round-trip in-zone transport are included. Souvenir photos and videos are extra.
Groups cap at 15 and the difficulty is rated easy. Kids can join; there’s a minimum age and weight the staff will confirm, and very young children ride tandem with an adult. Wear closed-toe shoes with grip, not flip-flops, and clothes you can move in. A small backpack isn’t allowed on the course but there are lockers at the base.
Phuket’s weather is the main wildcard: heavy rain closes the course for safety and refunds or reschedules apply. Morning slots tend to be cooler and the jungle light is better for photos. Bring a light cover-up if you burn easily; much of the course is shaded but the launch platforms are in the sun.
