Picture yourself on a sleek catamaran cutting through turquoise waters, with only seven other passengers sharing this premium experience. The New Power isn’t your typical tour boat – it’s a proper yacht with WiFi, spacious decks, and that exclusive feel you get when the group stays small. My favorite moment was anchoring at Koh Panak, where the limestone karsts rise dramatically from the water and you can hear nothing but gentle waves lapping the hull. The snorkeling gear is top-notch, and there’s something special about having lunch on deck while floating between islands, watching long-tail boats pass in the distance.
Your day starts with an 8 AM hotel pickup, then it’s off to Chalong Marina for a 9 AM departure that gets you back by 5:30 PM. Faraway Yachting Co. runs a professional operation – you’ll get a proper safety briefing and welcome drink before heading to your first stop at Racha Yai and Racha Noi islands. The captain adjusts the itinerary based on conditions, which means you’re always hitting the best spots. Koh Panak is a highlight with its sea caves and crystal-clear water perfect for snorkeling. With just eight people maximum, you never feel rushed, and the crew genuinely cares about giving you a quality experience rather than herding crowds around.
Know what you’re paying for: it’s positioned as a luxury experience. The easy difficulty rating means most fitness levels can enjoy it, though they don’t recommend it if you have cardiovascular issues. Weather can affect the itinerary, but that’s island life. Book during dry season for the most predictable conditions.
Insider Tip: The tour includes snorkeling equipment and lunch, but you’ll need to budget extra for the National Park fees and bring cash if you want alcoholic beverages onboard.
Safety Tip: While suitable for most fitness levels, this tour isn’t recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health due to water activities and sun exposure.
Itinerary
Pick up from hotel at 08:00, boarding at Chalong Marina, departure at 09:00 and return at 17:30. First stop is Monkey Beach, Ko Phi Phi Don, for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing. Take your time to relax in the boat's large saloon or sunbathe at the front balcony. Later stop at Ton Sai Bay for lunch and to explore Phi Phi Island Village. Next stop is Koh Phi Phi Le, where the boat first visits Maya Bay. The bay has been closed for some time to let nature recover and is recovering nicely. Lohsama Bay and Pileh Lagoon give a last chance for swimming and snorkeling before heading back to Phuket.
Itinerary: • Board the yacht. Welcome drink and safety briefing. Departure to Ko Panak • Ko Panak kayak and cave excursion • Thai style buffet lunch on board and relax • Visit Ko Hong • Visit James Bond Island by dinghy • Swimming and relaxing from the boat • Swimming & snorkeling stop at Ko Kai on the way back to Chalong Bay. Close to Ko Panak there are crevices leading into rooms and tunnels, which open into spaces inside the island, called “Hong” in the Thai language. With your guide, you walk into the cave at low tide and see stalactites shaped by the ocean through time. At Ko Hong, kayaking experts take you into the island for a small fee. These guides handle the kayaks safely, know every nook and cranny of the island and point out the special places and birdlife.
Racha Yai & Racha Noi Island Meet the captain and crew at Chalong Bay Marina. First stop is Koh Racha Yai, where the crew pick a location (depending on weather conditions) for snorkeling. Later the boat continues to Koh Racha Noi, where fishing lines are put out in the hope of catching a tuna for fresh sashimi as an appetizer before lunch. The boat stops at a calm bay for snorkeling while the chef prepares lunch. After lunch there is another stop in front of a beach, with snorkeling or a visit to the beach. Later the boat heads back towards Phuket, with the option of one more quick swim stop before the last leg to Chalong Bay.
