This seven-to-eight-hour speedboat tour from Phuket covers the same loop as most Phi Phi day trips — Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon, Viking Cave, Monkey Beach, and Bamboo Island — with snorkel gear (fins to rent separately at 200 THB) and a beachside lunch at Ton Sai Bay thrown in. The crossing takes about an hour by speedboat, and the day’s rhythm usually runs Maya Bay early before the biggest crowds arrive — access is now from the rear of the island rather than the beach itself after the 2022 reopening rules. From there it’s along the cliffs of Phi Phi Leh to view the Viking Cave (swallows’ nests, cave paintings; no landing), then into Pileh Lagoon for swimming and snorkelling inside the emerald-water inlet between the karsts. Monkey Beach on Phi Phi Don gets its name from the resident macaques, and the buffet lunch at Ton Sai Bay gives a proper break before the run out to Bamboo Island for the final snorkel and beach time.
The 400 THB adult / 200 THB child national park fee is paid in cash to the guide at check-in. Pay the extra 200 THB for fins if you’re comfortable in the water — swimming with a mask alone at these sites is fine but fins save a lot of effort over a full day. Sea can get choppy after 2pm in hot season; bring motion tablets if prone. Reef-safe sunscreen is required under park rules.
