Sky Hawk Zipline Experience in Chiang Mai

Sky Hawk sits about an hour outside Chiang Mai in the hills, and the course is unusually big for a Thai zipline park — 18 ziplines, 32 treetop platforms, two sky bridges, three abseiling stations, and eight staircases spread across a forested ridge up to 2,000 metres above sea level. You’re rigged up in a harness and given a safety briefing before working through the course, which runs as a continuous circuit — zipline to the next platform, cross a sky bridge, abseil down a tree, climb a staircase, repeat. The pace is set by you rather than a tight group schedule, so nervy first-timers can take their time and people wanting the thrill can push through faster. Forest opens out at the higher platforms into valley views. Trained staff stay at the platforms, safety gear is checked at transitions, and first-aid insurance is bundled in. Water and a lunch option are available on site.

It’s a fit for anyone reasonably mobile and not afraid of heights — kids usually need to meet minimum weight limits for the gear, so check before booking. Wear closed shoes, clothes you can move in, and leave loose items in the lockers at base. The optional transfer from Chiang Mai old town saves the hassle of organising your own ride; lunch and water are also optional add-ons. Morning slots run cooler than afternoons in hot season. Avoid long necklaces, skirts, or anything that can swing into the gear. Allow time at the end for the transfer back to town — traffic into the old city builds in late afternoon.
