Baan View Talay is a six-bedroom villa in the hills above Nathon, on the west side of Koh Samui, with a 14-metre infinity pool set on the edge of a cliff above the sea. It sleeps 12, up to 16 with extra beds, and has a gym, a games room and a lawn big enough for events. The airport is 23 km away and the nearest beach a 5 km drive.
Games room living and a cliff-edge pool
A hand-carved wooden door from Chiang Mai opens onto one long living space: lounge, dining and kitchen together, with floor-to-ceiling windows to the sea. The lounge doubles as the games room, with a pool table, a Bonzini football table and a curved smart TV with a JBL system. The table seats 12. There’s also an indoor gym.
The master bedroom has its own jacuzzi and, with two other rooms on the first floor, a private balcony. Three more bedrooms are on the second floor, one with a mezzanine for two extra singles. All six have their own bathrooms and satellite TV. Outside, the pool sits over the drop, with loungers, an outdoor lounge bed, a lawn and an alfresco table for 10.
Insider Tip: Request the mezzanine beds when you book, not on arrival. The two extra singles sit above one of the king rooms, which makes it the natural room for parents with two children.
