Five-bedroom hillside villa
Lime Samui is a five-bedroom villa high in the hills above Nathon, on the west side of Koh Samui, with sea views over the Gulf from almost every room. It sleeps up to 14 and comes with staff, a chef and a driver. It isn’t on the beach: Bang Makham Beach is 4 km downhill, and the airport is 25 km away on the far side of the island.
Built like a small resort
The house runs over four levels. The living floor has a sunken lounge that opens onto the pool deck, a dining area, a Corian bar and a Western kitchen. Outside, a 22-metre infinity pool runs along the terrace, and there’s an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue. Downstairs are a cinema with a 3-metre screen and recliners, a library and a massage room. There’s also a Life Fitness gym with TRX, a games room with a red pool table, an office corner and a rooftop bar.
All five bedrooms have their own bathroom. Four have king beds, the fifth has two queens, and some open onto covered balconies. Breakfast is included every day, and the chef cooks lunch and dinner to order.
Insider Tip: Plan dinners at the villa around sunset. The west coast is the side of Samui that faces the evening sun, and the rooftop bar is the place to watch it.
Who it suits
- Room for 14, with a cinema, gym, spa room and games room on site
- A 7-seat SUV and driver are included
- West-coast sunsets over the Gulf
- Daily breakfast included
- 4 km from the nearest beach
- Bedrooms on several floors, hard for anyone with limited mobility
- High terraces need supervision with small children
- Far from the Chaweng and Bophut restaurant strips
It suits a big family or a group who’ll spend most days at the villa and use the driver for outings: Nathon’s market and ferry pier, Coconut Beach to the south, or a boat day to Ang Thong Marine National Park. If you’d rather walk to bars and restaurants, look at Bophut instead. More island options are in our Koh Samui guide.
