The Dewa Koh Chang sits directly on Klong Prao Beach, though tides, rocks and canal run-off mean the shoreline isn’t always swimmable — the resort’s large outdoor pool and spa pick up the slack, alongside two restaurants and a cafe.
Rooms and Dining
Three room categories run from the 48 sqm Deluxe Double or Twin, with a king or twin beds, up through the 60 sqm Villa to the 120 sqm Grand Villa, which adds its own private spa or plunge pool. Booking.com quotes larger floor areas for the first two categories — it likely counts terraces and outdoor space — but the figures here are the resort’s own indoor measurements. Ask about extra-bed rates if you need either of the smaller rooms to sleep more than two.
Beyond the pool and spa, expect sauna and massage, a 24-hour front desk and tour help, free Wi-Fi and parking, water activities, family rooms and kids’ meals. There’s no gym or guest kitchen — rooms have a fridge or minibar and kettle instead.
Insider Tip: Check the tide and beach conditions on arrival, then plan around the pool if the shoreline isn’t cooperating. Don’t bank on a specific Wi-Fi speed for video calls.
Getting There
Arrival typically combines the Ao Thammachat to Ao Sapparot ferry with a road transfer on to Klong Prao. Koh Chang is mountainous and spread out, so don’t assume the island’s waterfalls and other beaches are a quick hop just because the address says Koh Chang.
The Dewa suits couples and families after beach, pool and spa in one place. If you need a gym, a real kitchen or a guaranteed step-free room, look elsewhere.
