Narai Hill Golf Resort and Country Club

Narai Hill Golf Resort and Country Club is a 27-hole course in Khok Samrong district, roughly 40km north of Lop Buri town. Opened in 2006 and designed by Veeryot Pethbuasak, it’s laid out across rolling countryside with three combinable 9-hole loops, mature trees, and water hazards worked into several fairways. It’s still an active club — green fee packages covering green fee, caddy and cart have recently run from around 1,450 THB on weekdays to 1,650 THB on weekends, though it’s worth confirming current rates when you book.

The 27 holes split into three loops that combine into an 18-hole round in any pairing, giving members and repeat visitors some variety without playing the same layout twice in a row. Fairways roll across low hills with several lakes and bunkers positioned to punish an overconfident tee shot, and the greens stay in playable condition despite Thailand’s heat. The clubhouse covers the basics — pro shop, changing rooms, a restaurant — and the resort also runs on-site rooms and villas for golfers doing more than a single round.

Insider Tip: Book an early tee time. Lop Buri’s plains heat up fast once the sun’s properly up, and starting before 8am usually means finishing your round before the worst of the midday heat.

Watch out: The course takes its name from King Narai the Great, whose 17th-century palace, Phra Narai Ratchaniwet, sits in Lop Buri town itself — not next door. It’s a worthwhile add-on to a golf trip, not a walk from the fairway.

Narai Hill sits roughly 140km north of Bangkok, close to a two-hour drive via the Lop Buri road network — a private car or transfer is the only realistic way in, since there’s no public transport running to the resort gate. Bring sun protection regardless of season; even the cooler months of November-February get warm on an open fairway by midday. Pair a round here with a stop at King Narai National Museum in Lop Buri town for the historical side of the region’s namesake king.
