The Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture

The Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture sits in Khlong Luang district, Pathum Thani, opposite the Nava Nakorn industrial estate. Built by the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives to mark King Bhumibol’s Golden Jubilee, it opened to the public in 2002 and covers nine connected buildings tracing royal-initiated agricultural projects — rice, fisheries, and highland crop development among them — through interactive displays rather than static cases. It’s open Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-16:00, closed Mondays and public holidays.

Admission isn’t a single flat ticket. The museum charges by gallery or zone, with Thai adults paying roughly 50 THB and foreign visitors roughly 100 THB for the core exhibition buildings — cheaper for children, and some outdoor areas or seasonal events run free or discounted separately. It’s worth asking at the entrance exactly which zones your ticket covers before setting off, since a single admission doesn’t automatically open every building on the grounds.

Inside, the exhibits move through farming tools and irrigation systems used across Thailand’s regions, reconstructed rural settings, and hands-on stations where visitors handle rice varieties and seeds rather than just reading labels. Outdoor learning bases extend the site further, with demonstration plots and displays tied to royal development projects. The scale is closer to a small campus than a single museum hall, and the grounds get more school-group traffic on weekdays during term time, quieter midweek outside those hours.
