S2O Songkran Music Festival 2027: Bangkok's EDM Water Party

S2O Songkran Music Festival takes the traditional Songkran water fight and adds a festival sound system, international DJs and a 360-degree water system that soaks the whole crowd. Running in Bangkok since 2015, it holds three days of parties over the Songkran holiday each April, and since 2026 it has had its own purpose-built site, S2O LAND, on Ratchadaphisek Road.

Quick answer: S2O 2027 has no confirmed dates or tickets yet. Expect three days over the Songkran holiday (the public holidays are 13–15 April 2027) and tickets to go on sale in January, as they did on 24 January for 2026. Buy only through Eventpop via s2ofestival.com; it is not sold on Klook or Viator. Every 2026 tier is now sold out on Eventpop, so book early bird the day sales open (ticket details), then pick a hotel on the MRT Blue Line from the list below.

What S2O Is Like

The format is simple: one large outdoor site, a main stage, bars, food stalls and an enormous volume of water. Water jets and cannons soak the crowd through the sets, and everyone in the wet area is drenched within minutes. There are also dry areas for anyone who wants a break, and VIP ticket holders get a raised dry platform.

The 2026 edition, the festival’s 11th, featured Zedd, Kygo, Gryffin, Lost Frequencies, Don Diablo presents CTRL ALT DLT, I Hate Models, Da Tweekaz, Ray Volpe and SIDEPIECE, plus the live debut of Lonely Club, the new joint project of Steve Aoki and Alan Walker. The 2025 tenth-anniversary edition, held at Rajamangala National Stadium, had Marshmello and Timmy Trumpet on the bill. A second stage in 2026, the Speed Stage, was built around a Thai wall-of-death motorbike show.

S2O differs from the free street water fights by being a controlled, ticketed, adults-only site with security, proper sound and an organised lineup. The crowd skews young (20s–30s), mixed Thai and international, and here for the party. The brand has spun off editions in South Korea and Taiwan, and in 2026 it added K2O, a K-pop Songkran show held on 14 April, but Bangkok is where it started.

How it works:

• Wristbands, not e-tickets. You either collect an NFC wristband at the venue with your order confirmation and original passport, or have it posted to an address in Thailand. Three-day wristbands must stay on for the whole festival, and a lost one means buying a new ticket.
• Non-refundable. Tickets can’t be refunded, exchanged or upgraded, even if the lineup or venue changes.
• Sold out? Use the official Eventpop resale market linked from s2ofestival.com rather than social-media sellers. The organisers do not honour tickets bought outside their channels.
• VVIP reservations are made directly with the organiser through the contacts on the Eventpop page.

Getting There

S2O LAND is on Ratchadaphisek Road in the Ratchada area, a short ride from the Jodd Fairs night market on Rama 9 Road. The organisers’ own advice:

• MRT Blue Line: Get off at Thailand Cultural Centre (Exit 4) and take a taxi, motorbike taxi or Grab the rest of the way. Phra Ram 9 station also works, again with a taxi or Grab for the last stretch.
• From Sukhumvit: Take the BTS to Asok, change to the MRT at Sukhumvit station and ride three stops to Thailand Cultural Centre.
• Airport Rail Link: Get off at Makkasan, then take a taxi or Grab.
• Taxi or Grab: Search for “S2O LAND”; the organisers call this the quickest option.
• Buses: Lines 73ก, 136, 137, 168 and 514 stop along Rama 9 Road near the Thailand Cultural Centre.

There is no parking at the venue. When the music stops around midnight, thousands of people want a ride at once and Grab prices surge. Walk 10–15 minutes away from the gate before booking, or head for the MRT, whose last trains run around midnight.

What to Wear and Bring

Pro Tip: Waterproofing your phone is non-negotiable. Buy a sealed, IP-rated pouch rather than a loose dry bag, and test the seal in a sink before you go. Every year phones die because someone trusted a bag that didn’t close properly.

Wear swimwear or quick-dry board shorts. Jeans and cotton get heavy when soaked and stay cold. Waterproof sport sandals work far better than flip-flops, which get lost underfoot in a crowd surge. Keep cash and cards in a ziplock bag inside your pouch, and leave most of your money at the hotel.

You need your original passport to get in (and to collect your wristband), so keep it in a second waterproof pouch or a paid locker. Lockers run by Lockbox are at the entrance and inside the venue. DSLR and mirrorless cameras are banned; only action cameras such as GoPros are allowed. Selfie sticks and tripods are banned unless they are under 30 cm and approved by security.

Watch out: Bangkok in April regularly hits 35°C. The water keeps you cool while you dance, but the moment you leave and dry off, the heat hits hard. Drink water as well as alcohol, take breaks in the dry areas, and note where first aid is when you arrive.
