A half-day cycling route out of Bangkok crosses the Chao Phraya River by ferry into Bangkrachao, an artificial island administered from neighbouring Samut Prakan province and known locally as the city’s “Green Lung.” The ride starts at the operator’s Rama III Road office (884/20, next to S.V. City Tower), covers a short stretch of road to the riverbank, then continues on elevated pathways through the island’s greenery across roughly 4 hours total.
Bangkrachao carries real wildlife (monitor lizards and more than 60 recorded bird species) alongside a bicycle trail, a tree park, a floating market, and several temples, including Wat Bang Nam Phueng, Wat Bang Nok Kwaek and Wat Bang Kachao. The route also passes Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden, a 200-plus-rai green space with a wooden bridge and a 7-metre viewing tower; its Saturday-Sunday floating market only runs on the operator’s weekend edition of the tour, not this standard route. A stop at a local Hindu shrine and a small Thai meal at a local restaurant round out the ride.

Itinerary
At the operator’s office/lounge there is a small briefing before the group gets on the bicycles and starts the ride.
The first part of the ride is on Rama III Road itself, where the office/lounge is located, but only for a few minutes because the ferryboat to cross the river is not far away. Standing on the banks of the Chao Praya River, you can see the many loops running in and out of the Bhumibol Bridges I & II at 40 meters height.

Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok
Although the group does not stop at every temple it passes, there are some temples and sights worth stopping for that are not mentioned in the list of "attractions" in the area. The tour stops at a local Hindu statue/temple, has a meal at a local restaurant and more. Some stops are left as a surprise.

Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden is located in Bang Kachao Sub-District, Samut Prakan Province with an area over 200 Rai. This place was established for being the source production of fresh air, the public park for relaxing and exercising for the people. Also, it is a place for ecosystem education on plant species and animals both local and within nearby area. Therefore, it compares as one of an oasis for the city people who want to experience nature, the local way of life and escaping Bangkok’s chaos. The garden’s characteristic is a combination of public parks that the landscape has been arranged beautifully. It consists of aquatic plants, local plants that are able to grow within brackish water and preserve the original agricultural garden which was the original fruit garden. This park and botanical garden is a Greenfield that the government declared to be “the lungs of Bangkok.” A wooden bridge is for visitors to stroll on peaceful and shady area, including the 7 meters high tower view that can capture the whole scenery of this area. Other than the botanic garden, there is so Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market which opens every Saturday and Sunday (visited on the Weekend edition of the tour).
