This tour spends more time on land than most James Bond Island itineraries. The drive from Phuket hotels out to the departure point runs 1.5 to 2 hours, with a stop at the Monkey Cave at Suwan Kuha Temple on the way. Inside, the Tam Yai chamber runs about 40 by 20 metres and holds a gold-coloured reclining Buddha image. From there it’s a long-tail boat through the mangrove forest of Ao Phang Nga National Park to Pan Yee Island, a stilt-built fishing village of around 1,600 people, for lunch. The boat then continues to James Bond Island and Khao Phing Kan before the day’s main activity: sea canoeing at Talu Island, paddled by the tour’s own staff rather than by guests, given the site’s difficult paddling conditions.
The tour is run by Thrilling Thai Tours. The 9-hour duration includes that overland transfer, so time on the water sits mostly in the afternoon. Hotel pickup and drop-off is free from Patong, Kata and Karon; other areas pay 200 THB per person. The national park fee itself isn’t in the tour price: 300 THB per adult or 200 THB per child, paid in cash on arrival at Phang Nga Bay.

Itinerary
Pick-up from your hotel, then a 1.5-2 hour drive to the day's site. The first stop is the famous Monkey Cave at Suwan Kuha Temple. You can find a large number of connected caves within the cave, where Tam Yai is the biggest one, as big as 40 meters long and 20 meters wide. Inside this cave there is also a massive 15 meter long reclining Buddha image coloured in gold. Explore the cave, the temple and watch the wild monkeys before heading to the next stop.
Then, jump on the long-tail boat and explore the magical mangrove forest of Ao Phang Nga National Park. Stop at Pan Yee Island which is a local muslim fishing village, where about 1600 people permanently live. Pan yee island is mostly made up of huge vertical limestone cliffs, and all houses and huts are built on stilts over the surrounding shallow sea. Here you will also enjoy a tasty lunch. (National park fee is not included in the price. The fee is 300 THB per adult or 200 THB per child, paid in cash on the spot).
Next is the activity spot, James Bond Island, the island that became famous from the James Bond movie "The Man with the Golden Gun." You are dropped off at Khao Phing Kan Island, where you can see the famous James Bond limestone rock standing tall in the waters. Explore the islands and take photos at the limestone formations that rise from the waters.
Last comes sea canoeing (expert staff will canoe for you to make sure you are safe, due to the difficult paddling site). Take in the beauty of Phang Nga province while canoeing around Talu Island. As the day comes to its end, you watch the views on the way back to the pier. The transfer back to your hotel is around 18.00-18.20. The program may be modified depending on the ocean tide levels and weather conditions.
