The Manohra cruise is a two-hour dinner sailing on the Chao Phraya River, boarding at the pier of Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort. It suits anyone who wants a sit-down evening on the water rather than a sightseeing boat, with the river banks and some of the city’s best-known landmarks passing by.

What the evening looks like

Boarding is at the Anantara Riverside pier in Bangkok, and there are three sailings every day. Check-in is 30 minutes before each departure:

• First round: 6pm to 8pm, check-in 5.30pm
• Second round: 7pm to 9pm, check-in 6.30pm
• Third round: 8.30pm to 10.30pm, check-in 8pm

Food is included, and all three sailings run in the evening. Along the way the boat passes Wat Arun (the Temple of Dawn) and the Grand Palace, as well as less famous riverside Buddhist temples and Beaux Arts-style mansions and palaces on the banks.
