Maya Bay is the marquee stop, the horseshoe beach from the 2000 film “The Beach,” but the operator’s own schedule lists it as closed annually from August 1 to October 1 for ecosystem recovery, a window that covers today’s date. During the closure the boat only slows for photos rather than landing; outside it, guests get beach time before moving on to Pileh Lagoon for a swim (a longtail boat ride can be rented there) and brief stops at Viking Cave and Monkey Beach in Yong Kasem Bay. Lunch and a snorkel session both happen off Phi Phi Don, followed by a stop at Bamboo Island.
This runs cheaper than the Maya Beach, Bamboo Island and Phi Phi tour on the same islands, which drops Viking Cave and Khai Nok for a longer sit-down lunch and a Maya Beach finale rather than an early view-only stop. Real limits apply: pregnant travelers are barred from all speedboat tours outright, no refund if one turns up anyway, and infants under one aren’t accepted.
