Check-in at Chalong Pier starts around 7am, with a snack and a tour briefing before the catamaran heads out toward Koh Phi Phi’s outer islands. First stop is Koh Khai Nok — “egg island” — for 40 minutes of swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing, with fresh fruit served on board. Next is Bamboo Island’s fringing reef (40 minutes), where the boat anchors near Hin Klang, a coral patch between Bamboo and Phi Phi Don that draws its own crowd of reef fish.
Maya Bay gets 60 minutes, though landing on the beach isn’t permitted — this stop is viewing and photos from the water. A scenic pass through Lok Samah Bay, known for its unusually green water, leads into Pileh Lagoon (40 minutes), a limestone-walled lagoon protected as a marine habitat and one of the better snorkelling spots on the route. Lunch — a halal buffet — and a walk through Koh Phi Phi Don’s narrow lanes take up 90 minutes, and the boat’s last stop is Monkey Beach (30 minutes), a roughly 150-metre strip on Tonsai Bay where a resident troop of long-tailed macaques lives on the cliff behind the sand. The catamaran is back at Chalong Pier by around 5:30pm, with hotel transfer by air-conditioned minivan.
