This small-group tour opens at Wat Traimit, home to a 5.5-tonne solid gold Buddha rediscovered in 1955 when a crane dropped it and cracked off the plaster shell that had hidden its value for two centuries. From there it moves to the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew’s Emerald Buddha, then Wat Pho for the 46-metre Reclining Buddha — Bangkok’s three most-visited religious sites in one 4-to-5-hour run.
Pickup starts at 8:00 AM by air-conditioned minivan, with a guide throughout and stops along the Chao Phraya riverfront, the City Pillar Shrine, and a drive past Wat Arun and Chinatown on the way back. If time allows, the group stops at a jewellery outlet — skip the pressure to buy if it’s not your thing.
