Thai Cooking Class in Bangkok at Tingly Cooking School

Tingly Thai Cooking School runs three class times from its Silom kitchen in Bangkok, and only one of them includes the market visit.

The school sits at 17/1 Soi Phrachum, off Silom Road in Surawong, Bangrak, opposite the Indian Temple on Silom Soi 22, near the Marriott Surawongse. The FAQ confirms the market tour runs only with the morning class, a walk through Wat Kheak fresh market before the group returns to cook; afternoon and evening sessions go straight into the kitchen. All three run 3.5 hours with an English-speaking instructor, equipment supplied, and ingredients for four dishes.

The FAQ names three of the four dishes: Tom Yum Kung, Pad Thai Kung, and a rotating curry that changes through the week, with green curry and massaman among the options, without a fixed weekly schedule. The fourth dish isn’t named. Each student gets a recipe book to take the dishes home.

Transport and other personal expenses are excluded, and the group runs up to 24 students.

Watch out: the market tour is a morning-only feature. Book the afternoon or evening slot and there’s no market stop, despite the fresh-market photos on the listing.
