Holiday Inn Resort Phuket by IHG sits on Thaweewong Road, across the street from Patong Beach — a short walk to the sand, not steps from it. Restaurants, bars and shopping fill the blocks around it, so this is a resort built for families who want Patong’s energy close by rather than isolation.

Standard rooms run 33 sqm and sleep up to four with a king bed, two doubles, or a king plus bunk beds — genuinely practical for a family of four. Premium rooms measure 42-50 sqm, and the Busakorn wing adds adults-only Pool View and Pool Access villas for couples who want to skip the kids’ pool entirely. On the suite side, the Pool View Suite is 55 sqm for two, the Two-Bedroom Family Suite 66 sqm, and the One-Bedroom Sea View Suite tops out at 120 sqm.

None of the rooms have a full kitchen. Standard and Premium categories give you a kettle and small fridge; the 120 sqm suite adds a microwave and espresso machine, but there’s no hob or oven anywhere on the property.

Four pools cover the grounds, though two of them — inside the Busakorn wing — are reserved for guests staying there. Kids get their own pool, a splash zone, and the Kids’ Club and FunLAB for structured activities, while three restaurants and room service handle meals without a trip off-site.

Watch out: Booking a “pool view” room doesn’t guarantee access to the Busakorn pools — check which wing your room is in before you count on using them.
