Samui Resotel Beach Resort is a 79-room beachfront resort on the southern, quieter section of Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui. Its rooms run from a 24 sq m Standard Room up to 65 sq m Ocean Pool Villas, and the resort has a 200-metre stretch of its own sand.

There are six types. The Standard Room (24 sq m) is the smallest and the entry point. The Superior Sea View Room and the Deluxe Pool Access Room are both 46 sq m, so the choice between them is view against direct pool access. The three villas are the step up: Pool Access Villa and Garden Pool Villa at 53 sq m, and the Ocean Pool Villa at 65 sq m, which is the largest on offer.
If you want a private pool, book a villa. If you only want to step out into water, the Deluxe Pool Access Room is the cheaper way to get it. The Standard Room suits a short stay where you mostly use the beach.
Location and getting there
The resort describes itself as being on the quieter southern part of Chaweng Beach, away from the busy central area but near shops and entertainment. Its address is 17 Moo 3 Chaweng Beach, though the postal line mentions Bophut, so go by the beach description rather than the district name. The resort says the airport is a 15-minute drive, and the lobby tour desk arranges transfers and excursions. For a wider choice of nightlife and restaurants, take a taxi north along the beach road.
For a day out, Fisherman’s Village Walking Street is the usual evening trip from Chaweng.

Who Samui Resotel suits (and who it doesn’t)
It suits couples and small groups who want a calmer end of Chaweng with a beach in front of the room and the option to pay more for a private-pool villa. It is a sensible base if you plan to dip in and out of the main strip rather than live on it.
It is less suited to anyone who wants to roll out of bed into the bars. The resort puts itself away from the central area, so nights out mean a taxi or a longer walk. Travellers wanting a big pool complex or a children’s club should check the facilities list above, which names neither.
