Villa Tasanee is a three-bedroom private pool villa for up to six on the Samujana estate above Choeng Mon, Koh Samui. Every bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. The airport is 4 km away and Choeng Mon Beach 900 m.
Three bathtubs and a Sonos lounge
Two bedrooms are on the lower ground floor, one with a terrace. The third is on the ground floor with a terrace, on the same level as the living room, the kitchen and a dining area for six. A separate TV lounge has a 50-inch screen, a Sonos sound system and a library of films and music.
The open-plan living area faces the infinity pool and the bay beyond. Around the pool are sun decks, daybeds and a barbecue, so meals can happen outdoors. There is a large patio and garden, and the Pink Elephant Waterpark is a few minutes away if children want a change from the pool.
Breakfast is served in the villa, and airport transfers cost nothing extra. The manager can book massages, and a Thai chef is an extra charge.
Insider Tip: Give the ground-floor bedroom to the oldest or least steady guest, since two of the three rooms are down open staircases.
Who it suits
- Bathtub and walk-in shower in every bedroom
- Lounge with a Sonos system and a big film library
- Sized for six, so it never feels sprawling
- Waterpark minutes away
- Some noise from neighbouring villas and beaches can carry
- Open staircases need care with young children
- Chef is extra, and staff leave at 5pm unless you dine in
Three couples or a family of up to six suit it best. For more space, Villa Samorn has four bedrooms, a cinema and a gym, while Villa Prija sleeps 12. Wat Plai Laem and Fisherman’s Village are short drives away, and Choeng Mon has the beach. For more, see our Koh Samui guide.
