Villa Samorn is a four-bedroom private pool villa on the Samujana estate above Choeng Mon, sleeping eight. It has a home cinema, a private gym and a rooftop deck, and Samui airport is 4 km away. Choeng Mon Beach is 900 m from the gate.
Cinema, gym and rooftop deck
Three of the four king bedrooms are on the lower ground level, each with a terrace and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The fourth is on the ground floor beside the living room, the kitchen and a dining area for eight. A separate TV lounge and the fitness area share that floor.
The saltwater infinity pool sits in front of the open-plan living area, with views over the bay. Outside there is a barbecue, an outdoor kitchen, daybeds and a large garden, and a rooftop deck sits above the house. A centralised sound system covers the main rooms.
Breakfast is served in the villa every morning, and the villa manager books spa treatments, excursions and restaurant tables. A private Thai chef is an extra charge, which works well on cinema nights.
Insider Tip: Ask the manager to arrange the chef for your first evening and eat on the covered terrace. Staff stay until dinner finishes when you eat in, and otherwise leave at 5pm.
Who it suits
- Home cinema and private gym under one roof
- Saltwater infinity pool facing the bay
- Four king bedrooms, each with a bathtub
- Rooftop deck and outdoor kitchen for evenings in
- Large open staircases and terraces call for care with young children
- Beach is 900 m away, not on the doorstep
- Sleeps eight, so bigger groups need a larger villa
Two couples, a family with teenagers or a small wellness group will use the gym and cinema most. Villa Sopa also has four bedrooms but sits among the rocks, while Villa Tida sleeps 12. Nearby, Wat Plai Laem and Fisherman’s Village are short drives, and Choeng Mon has the beach. For more, see our Koh Samui guide.
