Easykart Go-Karting

Easykart’s Koh Samui track sits at Chaweng Lake, running two circuits — a 350-metre beginner loop for first-timers and kids, and an 800-metre racing track with 270cc karts for anyone who’s driven before. A single race on the Regular Kart runs about 600 THB; Kid Karts start from 500 THB, 2-Seaters (for a parent and small child) are 800 THB, and multi-race packages climb to 1,950 THB with a T-shirt thrown in at the top tier. The company launched in Thailand in 2004 and now runs this track plus locations in Bangkok and two in Pattaya.

Race day timing is a modern digital system, so lap times and standings post as you drive rather than after the fact. The track runs floodlit at night, which matters on Koh Samui — the 800-metre course stays open until 22:00, long after the midday sun has made daytime laps a sweatier proposition. Closed-toe shoes are compulsory; bring your own or borrow a pair at the counter. Helmets and race suits are provided.

Beyond the karts, the same Chaweng Lake complex runs EasySurf (a stationary flowriding pool for surfing and boogie-boarding practice without the ocean) and EasyFly, a vertical wind-tunnel for indoor skydiving — genuinely one of only a handful in the country. A snack bar, restaurant, and a couple of pool tables round out the site, so it’s easy to turn a single race into a half-day stop rather than a quick pit stop.

Insider Tip: Book online ahead for weekend afternoons — that’s when Samui’s tour buses drop groups here between beach stops, and the wait for a track slot can run 30 minutes or more. Weekday mornings before 11:00 are close to empty.
