Thongsomboon Club is a Wild West-themed ranch and adventure park in Pak Chong, the gateway town for Khao Yai National Park — not a standalone golf course, despite how this page previously described it. The site combines a saloon-style main street and cowboy-themed buildings with an activity zone (ATV trails, horseback riding, ziplining, mountain sledding, archery), a golf course, and western-styled overnight accommodation including “cowboy houses” and camping pitches.

The centrepiece for most visitors is the roughly 1,500-metre ATV track, built to handle both families and more serious thrill-seekers, alongside horseback riding trails that wind through Pak Chong’s rolling, forested terrain. Ziplining and mountain sledding add a couple of higher-adrenaline options, and there’s a wagon-style shuttle bus that ferries guests around the grounds — useful, since the property is large enough that walking between zones eats into activity time. Entry to the grounds itself is typically free; individual activities are sold as coupons or bundled packages, so costs scale with how much you actually do rather than a flat ticket price.

Watch out: Coupon-based pricing means costs add up quickly if you try several activities, and multiple visitor reviews raise concerns about safety standards and equipment upkeep on some rides. Assess each attraction before committing your kids (or yourself) to it, and don’t assume Thai amusement-park safety norms match what you’re used to elsewhere.

The golf course takes advantage of the same cooler, elevated terrain that makes Khao Yai popular for escaping Bangkok’s heat — mountain air, forested surrounds, and a noticeably quieter pace than coastal courses. It’s a secondary draw compared to the adventure-park side of the property, worth combining with a round if you’re already there for the ATV or horseback activities rather than the reason to make the trip on its own.

Insider Tip: Cool season (November-February) is by far the most comfortable window for the outdoor activities here — mornings can be genuinely chilly at this elevation, so bring a layer even though you’re only a few hours from tropical Bangkok.

Getting here means a roughly 2.5-3 hour drive from Bangkok via Highway 2, the same route used for Khao Yai National Park itself, since Pak Chong serves as the access town for both. A car is the practical way in — there’s no direct public transport to the property.
