Ang Thong Marine Park Speedboat Tour from Koh Phangan
Activity provider: Click2GoThailand.com
Reviewed Oct 2026
This is the Koh Phangan departure for Ang Thong National Marine Park, the 42-island archipelago north-west of Samui. A speedboat is faster than the big boats, and it lands directly on the beaches, so you skip the transfer to smaller boats. The day runs seven to eight hours.
About five hours are spent in the park. The trip includes snorkelling, sea kayaking (weather permitting), a buffet lunch on one of the islands and a hike to a viewpoint. The operator warns that the climb needs reasonable fitness, so bring proper shoes rather than flip-flops. Snorkel gear, drinking water, soft drinks and a light breakfast of coffee, tea and biscuits are included. The national park fee is not: the operator lists it at 300 THB per adult and 150 THB per child, payable on the day.
Hotel pickup is free from most of Koh Phangan with road access. The exceptions matter. Thong Nai Pan Yai and Thong Nai Pan Noi add a 300 THB per person cash surcharge. Bottle Beach (Haad Khuad), Hat Khom and Hat Yuan get no pickup at all, so you’ll need to reach the pier yourself.
Insider Tip: Bring the park fee with you in small notes, plus a dry bag. The boat lands you straight onto the beaches, so expect wet feet.
Watch out: The tour goes ahead in poor weather as long as it’s safe. Gulf seas are roughest from October to December, so a crossing in those months can be bumpy.
The boat takes up to 60 people, so this is a busy, good-value day out rather than a quiet one. The operator doesn’t take pregnant travellers.
