Departure is timed for mid-day, after the morning rush of other tour boats has cleared, so the “Tidal Nape” sea caves and hidden hong lagoons are quieter by the time this group arrives. A professional guide paddles each canoe through the limestone passages while passengers watch for macaques, water monitors, kingfishers, mudskippers, egrets, sea eagles and Brahminy kites along the cave walls and cliffs, useful in tight sections where reading the next channel matters more than paddling technique.
The day runs long at 10 hours door to door, with roundtrip transport from Phuket hotels bookending it. A light Thai buffet lunch and a Thai seafood buffet dinner are both included, along with soft drinks and water throughout: alcohol and gratuities are the only listed exclusions. The kayaks are specially designed for the trip. After a detailed briefing, a professional guide paddles you and your partner through “Tidal Nape” Sea Caves inside Phang Nga Bay’s marine limestone karstic islands into “Hongs“(Thai for “Room”) The hidden cliff-lined lagoons are populated with macaques, water monitors, kingfishers, mudskippers, egrets, Sea Eagles and Brahminy Kites. The trip finishes after dark with floating your own self-made flower “Kratong” in a natural light show. A seafood-vegan buffet is eaten on the trip back, and you return to the pier two hours after sunset.
