Ao Thalane’s mangrove channels sit inland from Krabi’s limestone coastline, and this 5-hour trip times the paddle for sunset, when the karst towers turn orange over the water. A local guide leads the way in, pointing out mudskippers, monitor lizards, and kingfishers as the kayaks weave between the mangrove roots.
Dinner afterward is a BBQ of chicken, seafood, and vegetables, with a vegetarian option if it’s flagged at booking. Waterproof bags and life jackets are supplied, so it’s worth bringing a phone for the water-level shots as the light drops — just charge it beforehand, since golden hour tends to mean a lot of photos in a short window.
Groups are capped at 15 paddlers to keep the channels quiet, and private tours are available for anyone who wants them to themselves. Private hotel transfer, kayak and safety gear, seasonal fruit, and tea or coffee are all included in the price; alcohol and any extras beyond the BBQ menu are not.

We keep these trips to a maximum of ten paddlers per group to insure you are able to relax and enjoy. How ever private tours are also available. Our BBQ dinner is one you won’t forget, offering chicken, seafood, and vegetables. By special request upon booking vegetarian meals are available. Waterproof bags will be provided for you to keep your personal items dry along with life jackets.
