Phang Nga Bay’s sheer limestone karsts are the backdrop for this seven-to-eight-hour private speedboat tour out of Royal Phuket Marina, with a small-boat cap of 12 and the full circuit through Panak, Talu, Panyee, James Bond Island, and Naka. Check-in is at Building MC3 by 9am with complimentary parking, or hotel pickup from Phuket by air-conditioned minivan.

Panak comes first — a short glide inside a sea cave opens up to an internal lagoon ringed by mangroves, a quieter warm-up before the bigger names. At Talu you swap the speedboat for a canoe paddled by a local guide, threading through tight cave passages that only open at certain tides (the guide plans the route around them). Lunch is at Koh Panyee, the stilt-house Muslim fishing village built against a cliff, where the view over the bay is better than most of the food. Afterwards it’s the obligatory stop at Khao Phing Kan (the Bond island), then swimming and sand at Naka before returning to the marina. Drinks and refreshments come on board; lunch at Panyee is paid locally.

The price is steep because the boat is private — good for families or small groups, less sensible for solo travellers or couples who’d do fine on a shared boat. The 300 THB adult / 150 THB child national park fee is collected by the guide on arrival. Bond Island is crowded by late morning whichever operator you choose, so arriving early via a fast speedboat helps. Bring motion-sickness tablets if you’re prone — the outer bay can chop up after midday, especially in May-October. Alcoholic drinks can be bought separately at the marina.
