James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch

The big-boat version of the James Bond Island tour trades some speed for a steadier ride and more deck space. You still cover the same key stops in Phang Nga Bay — Panak Island, Hong Island, James Bond Island itself, and Nakae for a swim — but the crossings are gentler, which matters if you or anyone with you gets motion sick on speedboats. Hotel transfers by air-conditioned minivan across Phuket province are included both ways.

You meet at Ao Po Pier — the operator’s team wears pink t-shirts. The day runs through the bay in sequence. First stop is Panak Island, where you switch to sea canoes and paddle into hidden lagoons through low-roofed cave mouths. Hong Island follows, with more sea cave canoeing and the enclosed lagoon opening to the sky above. Lunch is a buffet served with sea views, included in the price. James Bond Island (Khao Phing Kan) and the leaning rock pillar come after lunch, with enough time to walk the short trails and take the photos. The final stop is Nakae Island for swimming and paddleboarding. National park fees, travel insurance, and the English-speaking guide are all in the base price.

Seven hours, easy difficulty, capped at 15. The big boat is steadier than a speedboat but also slower — the trade-off is less total time at stops, which the itinerary handles by being efficient rather than rushed. Pregnant travellers and anyone with back or heart issues should consider the risks. Alcoholic drinks, souvenir photos, and tips aren’t included.

Dry season (November to April) for the calmest crossings and clearest water. The big boat format is the sensible choice for families, older travellers, or anyone who’s been battered by a previous speedboat tour in Thailand and doesn’t want a repeat.
