Belle Serenity is a three-suite villa on a hilltop above Choeng Mon and Plai Laem, on Koh Samui’s north-east corner, looking east over the Gulf toward the sunrise. It sleeps six, has an 8-metre infinity pool, and comes with a villa manager and a chef who cooks lunch and dinner. The airport is 6 km away.
Vaulted ceilings and three kings
The upper floor is the main event: a vaulted living and dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, local artwork and an antique table for eight. The kitchen has a breakfast island and a separate pantry. Downstairs, a lower lounge with white sofas and satellite TV gives children a cool room away from the sun.
The master suite is upstairs, with a wooden deck around the villa, black chandeliers and antique carved doors leading to the bathroom, where there’s a rainfall shower and an outdoor terrazzo pod bath. The two guest bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with a king bed, a private terrace and a sunken tub. Outside, the pool, outdoor sofas and a dining table share the terrace.
Insider Tip: Plan meals around the chef. Lunch and dinner are cooked for you and you only cover ingredients, so give the villa manager a shopping list on day one and save restaurant nights for Choeng Mon’s beachfront.
