The View Samui is a clifftop villa at Taling Ngam on Koh Samui’s west coast, built from glass, steel, wood and concrete over three floors above the sea. It has five bedrooms plus a children’s dorm, a saltwater infinity pool with a jacuzzi, a gym and a dining table for 22. It sleeps 10, comes with breakfast and staff, and sits 30 km from the airport.

Three floors, one for each part of the day

The ground floor is for activity: a gym, a massage sala, outdoor dining and a minibar. The first floor is the social level, with oversized sofas, a pull-down projector screen and surround sound in the lounge, a resort-style kitchen, a yoga deck and that 22-seat table. Bedrooms take the top floor: two kings, two doubles and a twin, each with a balcony, TV and its own bathroom, and a dorm with three sets of bunks and three pull-out beds.

Outside, the tropical garden has a pond with a waterfall, hammocks and a barbecue. The pool has a shallow zone and a jacuzzi, and a bar and outdoor lounge sit on the terrace. Kayaks, a paddleboard and snorkelling gear are there for the sea below.

Insider Tip: Put the children in the dorm. With them in the bunk room, the five proper bedrooms are free for the adults, and nobody’s teenager has to share with a parent.
