Ruesi Sawan & Luk Suea Caves

Tham Ruesi Sawan and Tham Luk Suea (ถ้ำฤาษีสวรรค์–ถ้ำลูกเสือ) sit inside Srinagarindra Park in Phang Nga town — cool, walk-through limestone caves with a clear stream and stalactites, not the sea-cave canoe stops of Phang Nga Bay. Ruesi Sawan is the larger front chamber; Luk Suea is the smaller connected cave beyond. Municipal guides place the pair beside Khao Chang, with park landscaping and bridges linking the damp passages.

This is an easy town stop rather than a half-day tour. You walk in from the park, pick your way over wet rock, and exit toward the smaller chamber — bring a torch for darker stretches and shoes that can handle mud. Macaques often loiter at the roadside cave mouth, so keep snacks out of sight.

Watch out: Do not confuse these caves with hong canoe routes near James Bond Island. Bay canoeing happens offshore (for example at Koh Panak); these two caves are inland in the town park.

Access is typically free during park daylight hours, but temporary closures or donation requests can appear — confirm on site. Combine with Tham Phung Chang if you want a guided underground water passage the same day.
