Koh Panak

Koh Panak (เกาะพนัก) is one of Ao Phang Nga’s classic canoe islands — a solid limestone mass in Phang Nga Bay where guided inflatable canoes slip through dark tidal caves into quiet, sky-open lagoons. There is no resort beach here; the point is the cave-and-hong passage, often with bats overhead and mangroves inside the sheltered basins.

Most itineraries fold Panak into a half- or full-day bay tour alongside James Bond Island, with pickups from Phuket, Khao Lak, or Phang Nga piers such as Surakul. Canoe time on site is commonly 30–45 minutes on standard trips; specialist sea-canoe operators may linger longer.

Watch out: Access is entirely tide-dependent. Rough monsoon seas (roughly May–October) also disrupt schedules. Wear a life jacket, expect to get damp, and protect cameras from spray and cave drips.
