Above all, the Phrathat Chedi Si Phothong stands tall. Built by Phrakhru Sukhonthasilakhun (Luang Pho Hom) in 1992, the pagoda is 40 metres wide and 73 metres high, in Ceylonese -Ayutthaya -Rattanakosin art style. The octahedron pagoda holding bells is decorate with 32 layers of receding circular moulding on top of the stupa containing relics of the Lord Buddha’s neck and various Buddha images in different postures In 1995, during the reign of King Rama IX, construction of the pagoda commenced, and Phrakhru Sukhonthasilakhun offered it as a royal gift, earning it the name Phrathat Chedi Si Phothong. HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening ceremony in 2000.
