EDC Thailand 2026: Tickets, Line-Up & Where to Stay

Electric Daisy Carnival, the neon-and-fireworks festival from American promoter Insomniac, has made Phuket its home in Asia. EDC Thailand returns 18–20 December 2026 at Rhythm Park in Choeng Thale, Thalang, a few minutes inland from Bang Tao. This third edition has six stages, a line-up led by Martin Garrix, Tiësto and Charlotte de Witte, and closes EDC’s 30th-anniversary year worldwide.

Quick answer: should I book? If the line-up works for you, yes, and sooner is cheaper. Tickets are on sale now, with the current tier at 10,490 THB for 3-day GA and 16,490 THB for VIP, and prices step up as each allocation sells. Buy from the official outlets or Klook, then book a room in Bang Tao or Laguna so festival nights end with a short ride home (hotels we like).

Book the room before the pass price moves. Bang Tao and Laguna resorts sit a short drive from the gates and rooms fill early for festival week. EDC in Phuket So Far

The festival arrived in January 2025 at Boat Avenue Lakefront in Bang Tao, with headliners including Skrillex, Tiësto, Fisher and The Chainsmokers. It drew around 150,000 people over three nights, and hotels across the island filled up. For its second edition, on 16–18 January 2026, it moved to Rhythm Park, a purpose-built site of about 345,000 m², almost double the first venue.

The move to December is deliberate. Insomniac points to peak travel season, cooler weather and the holiday window. It also puts EDC about two weeks after Wonderfruit and one week after Tomorrowland Thailand near Pattaya, so a December trip can take in more than one festival.

The Stages and Line-Up

EDC Thailand uses Insomniac’s signature stage names, each with its own sound:

• kineticFIELD: the main stage, where the headliners play under fireworks and lasers.
• circuitGROUNDS: bass music and drum & bass, with towering LED walls and fire effects. Basshrush hosts a takeover on Friday.
• neonGARDEN: new for 2026, house and techno all weekend, hosted by Factory 93.
• stereoBLOOM: a mixed stage from trance to tech house and bass, with takeovers by Insomniac Records (Friday), Dreamstate (Saturday) and Basscon (Sunday).
• bionicJUNGLE: a curated house line-up in a lush, immersive setting.
• BOOMBOX: emerging Thai and Southeast Asian DJs.

Beyond the headliners, the bill includes DJ Snake, Dom Dolla, Above & Beyond, Kaskade, Andy C, James Hype, Mau P, Vintage Culture, CamelPhat, Subtronics, Jamie Jones, Loco Dice, Boys Noize, VTSS, Paul van Dyk, SOFI TUKKER, Showtek (hardstyle set) and a Green Velvet b2b Steve Angello set. Thai and regional names include RAYRAY, 22Bullets, Pixzy and Noise Mafia b2b Afem Syko. Between sets there are carnival rides, art installations and costumed performers roaming the site.

Tickets and Prices

Tickets are tiered: each allocation sells at a fixed price, and the next one costs more. On 2 October 2026 the official site listed the Early Owl tier:

Where to buy: the official site sends buyers in Thailand and Asia to Eventpop or Megatix, and everyone else to Front Gate Tickets. Klook also sells the 3-day passes, from US$319. A Klook booking gives you a QR code that you exchange for a wristband on site, and every ticket must be pre-registered to one person before entry. Tickets are non-refundable.

Add-ons: the All-Access Experience Pass, added at checkout, gets you into the Thursday-night opening beach party and the Friday to Sunday day parties. SkyDeck tables with bottle service are sold separately through the official site.

Pro Tip: buy as soon as you can commit. Each tier is a fixed allocation, and once it sells out the next one costs more, so waiting for the final line-up rarely saves money.

Getting There

Rhythm Park sits on Bandon–Cherngtalay Road, between Boat Avenue and the Laguna Phuket resorts. From Phuket International Airport it is roughly 30 minutes by car. From Patong, allow 30–45 minutes in evening traffic.

• Official shuttle: a shuttle pass covers three days of return trips between your chosen pickup point and the festival. Departures run 14:00–19:00 and returns 23:00–02:00. Book it through Eventpop from the official site’s shuttle page. Hotel EDC guests ride free.
• Grab and Bolt: easy on the way in. At closing time, tens of thousands of people leave a small road network at once, so expect surge pricing and long waits. Walking a few minutes away from the gates before booking helps.
• Private driver: a fixed-price driver booked in advance is the most reliable option if you are staying outside Bang Tao.
• Staying close: from Laguna or Bang Tao, the ride home is short.

Where to Stay

Bang Tao and Laguna Phuket are the obvious bases: the resorts sit a short drive from the gates, and rooms fill early for festival week. Surin and Kamala are 15–20 minutes away and usually have more availability. Patong has the most rooms on the island and the late-night bars, but the trip back to Bang Tao takes longer.

Hotel EDC: the official resort takeover returns to Angsana Laguna Phuket from 17 to 21 December 2026. Packages include a 4-night suite stay, daily breakfast, the Thursday-night Hotel EDC beach party, daytime beach parties, resort credit, festival shuttles with a dedicated entry line, and the option to add GA or VIP passes. Phuket Takeover Week

EDC week runs beyond the three festival nights. Insomniac’s Phuket Takeover Week brings official pre-parties, beach events and after-parties to venues from Patong to Laguna. The All-Access Experience Pass opens the official opening beach party on Thursday 17 December and the weekend day parties. In past editions, side events ran at beach clubs around Bang Tao and nightclubs in Patong; the 2026 programme is announced on the official site and social channels.

Practical Tips

• ID: strictly 20+. Carry your original passport; don’t rely on a photo of it.
• Pre-registration: register your wristband or e-ticket to your own name before the festival, as the ticket terms require.
• Heat and humidity: December afternoons in Phuket still reach about 31–32°C, and gates open at 15:00. Drink water between sets, use the refill points, and take electrolytes.
• Pace yourself: three nights in a row is a lot. Use the days for the beach, a massage or a slow lunch rather than another party.
• Shoes and bags: wear closed shoes you can stand in for nine hours, and bring a small bag that zips shut. Bags are searched at the entrance, so check the official prohibited-items list before you go.
• Power and signal: bring a power bank. Mobile signal gets patchy when tens of thousands of phones share the site.
• Insect repellent: mosquitoes come out after dark near the lagoons and grassy areas.

After the Festival

With the festival over on Sunday night, the north of the island suits a slower day: Nai Yang and Mai Khao beaches are close to the airport.
