Hands On Thai Cooking Class & Market Tour in Sathon, Bangkok

House of Taste’s Sathon class runs 3.5 hours from a kitchen inside Suan Phlu Market, in Bangkok, with the market walkthrough built into every session rather than sold as an add-on.

The school sits at 33 Thanon Suan Phlu, Khwaeng Thung Maha Mek, Khet Sathon, a one-minute walk from the market stalls. Morning, afternoon and evening classes all start the same way: an instructor walks the group through Suan Phlu’s fresh produce, herbs and spices, and students pick what goes into their own four dishes. Cooking covers curry paste made from scratch and fresh coconut milk, built around whatever gets bought that day; the other two dishes aren’t named beyond that. Recipes go home with each student afterward.

The class holds up to 18 students, run in English and Thai. The FAQ’s transport advice is a motorcycle taxi from the nearest BTS or MRT station. There’s no hotel pickup listed.
