Baan Ban Buri is a four-bedroom villa in the Dhevatara Residence, a small beachfront estate on Bophut Beach on Koh Samui’s north coast. It’s laid out as six pavilions linked by a central walkway, with a 12-metre infinity pool facing the sea. It sleeps eight, comes with breakfast and a chef, and the airport is 8.6 km away.
Six pavilions round a walkway
The living room, kitchen and dining area share one open pavilion, with glass doors to the sea. The four bedrooms each take their own space along the walkway, all with king beds and en-suite bathrooms, the master with a full bathroom and the others with shower rooms. Thai fabrics and wood keep it simple. A BOSE system plays inside and out.
The pool measures 12 by 4.7 metres, 1.8 metres at the deep end, with a shallow zone for children. Sunbeds and a shaded pergola sit beside it, and two kayaks can be brought out on request.
Insider Tip: Walk west for your swim. The shore right below the estate is rocky and the tide sometimes covers it, but about 200 metres along, Bophut Beach turns to sand you can swim from.
