Baan Maliwan is a three-bedroom villa in the Dhevatara Residence on Bophut Beach, set over several floors 30 metres from the sea. Its glass-walled living room looks across the bay to the Big Buddha and Koh Phangan. It sleeps six to eight, and the airport is 9 km away.
A smaller house with a big view
Floor-to-ceiling windows run along the lounge, which has an L-shaped sofa, a flat-screen TV and BOSE speakers. The kitchen has a central island with stools, an integrated oven and hob, and the dining table seats 10. Two bedrooms have double beds and the third has two singles, each with its own bathroom, air conditioning and TV.
The blue-tiled infinity pool overlooks the sea and has a shallow zone. Daily housekeeping and breakfast come with the stay, and there’s a massage bed if you book a therapist. The barbecue and two kayaks are shared with the other estate villas.
Insider Tip: Pepenero is 650 metres away, close enough to walk to on a night off from the chef, and the 7-Eleven is just over a kilometre for water and snacks.
