Baan Benjamart is a four-bedroom villa on Bophut Beach, part of the small Dhevatara Residence estate on Koh Samui’s north coast and about a 10-minute walk from Fisherman’s Village. It has the estate’s longest pool, 17 metres, a chef and staff, and sleeps eight. The airport is 9 km away.
Stilted suites and a long pool
Three of the bedrooms are suites raised on stilts, each with a balcony toward the sea, and one has a four-poster bed. The fourth, a twin, suits teenagers. The main house holds a Western kitchen with a breakfast bar and a dining table for 12, with room to spread out in the lounge.
The pool runs 17 by 4 metres along the seafront, with a shallow end for children, sunbeds and a sala with a daybed. Two kayaks are kept for the guests. The estate has 24-hour security with alarms and CCTV.
Insider Tip: Go to Fisherman’s Village on foot on a Friday evening, when the walking street market fills the old lane, and save the villa chef for the other nights. The 10-minute walk along the sand means no taxi and no parking.
Who it suits
- Walkable to Fisherman’s Village
- 17 m pool with a shallow end
- Breakfast included, chef on hand
- Round-the-clock estate security
- Rocky shoreline in front of the villa
- Pool and decks get slippery after rain
- Shops are a short drive, so plan supplies
Families with older children will get the most from the twin room and the walk into town. Fisherman’s Village is the main draw nearby, and the rest of Bophut is close. On the same estate, Baan Ban Buri keeps every bedroom on one level. More villas are in our Koh Samui guide.
