Bottle Beach Viewpoint

Bottle beach viewpoint is one of the best viewpoints in Koh Phangan. From here, you will see incredible panoramic views of the whole bay and the surrounding lush jungle. It is a must-see for those visiting the island. There are two routes going to the summit which can take about an hour so bring water and wear comfortable footwear.

What to Expect

The viewpoint sits on the headland above Bottle Beach (Haad Khuat) on Koh Phangan’s north coast. Two trails climb to the summit — both fairly steep and rough underfoot — taking around an hour each way through jungle. The reward is a panorama over the bay, the beach below, and the forested ridgelines that wrap the island’s quiet northern shore. Sunrise and sunset are the best times for light, though there is little shade on the climb.

Getting There

Tips for Visitors

• Wear proper footwear — the trails are steep, rocky, and slippery after rain.

• Carry plenty of water; there are no shops or shade on the climb.

• Start early or go late to avoid the midday heat on the exposed sections.

• The trails are easiest and safest in the dry season (November to April).
